Duties
- Assist with daily maintenance tasks such as mowing greens, tees, fairways and roughs.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers and utility vehicles.
- Help with irrigation system maintenance and repairs.
- Perform routine landscaping tasks, such as planting, weeding and pruning.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of bunkers and other hazards.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the course, including removing debris and litter.
- Assist with special projects, such as course improvement initiatives.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe work environment.
- Cleaning of public washrooms.
- Conduct adequate safety inspections of grounds and equipment.
- Remain aware and compliant with all Town safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with construction areas.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working on a golf course or in a landscaping role if preferred.
- Strong knowledge of turf management and golf course maintenance practices.
- Experience operating and maintaining landscaping equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, bend and perform manual labour tasks.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality work standards.
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Possess good public relations and communication skills.
- Must be an honest, accountable, team playing individual who receives direction well.
- Grooming and dress standards will be required of the successful applicant
Hours
5 Positions – (40-44) hours per week
2 Position - Part time
Both positions will be required to work on some weekends and holidays
