PROPOSED BYLAW NO. 1717
Dated June 20th, 2024
In accordance with sections 251 and 258 of the Municipal Government Act, Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000, Chapter M-26, the Council of the Town of Cardston in the Province of Alberta hereby gives notice of its intention to consider proposed Bylaw No. 1717, being a bylaw to authorize the Town to incur indebtedness through financing for the purpose of constructing a new Clubhouse at the Lee Creek Valley Golf Course.
The Council of the Municipality of the Town of Cardston desires to to authorize the financing, undertaking and completion of a new Clubhouse at the Lee Creek Valley Golf Course for the sum of up to one million five hundred Thousand dollars ($1,500.000.00).

The borrowing bylaw received first reading at the May 14, 2024 Council Meeting and further readings are tentatively scheduled to be considered in July.
Section 231 of the Municipal Government Act allows the public to submit petitions for a vote on whether the borrowing bylaw should be passed. Petitions against the borrowing bylaw must fulfill the requirements of the Municipal Government Act and be filed with the CAO no later than 4:30 p.m. on August 24, 2024 in order to be valid.
