2025 is an election year for Town Council. The current Council is completing the final year of their four-year term, which ends in the fall. To help shape Cardston’s future, dedicated candidates with diverse skills and experiences are encouraged to run for office. If you're interested in serving your community and making a difference, review the resources below and consider putting your name forward in the upcoming election.
*The next municipal general election will be held on October 20, 2025.
Nominations for the general election open January 1, 2025, and close at noon on September 22, 2025. Prospective Candidates interested in running for Cardston Town Council may begin campaigning at the beginning of 2025. See the resources below for information.

All candidates must complete the following forms and pay a deposit of $100.00 at the Town office.
Forms 4 and 5 must be submitted at the Town Office by noon on September 22, 2025 (Nomination Day) with a deposit of $100.00 before a candidate may begin campaigning.
Form 26 must be completed by successful candidates who are elected to office by Mar 2, 2026, or the candidate will be.
