Election Day for Town Council is Monday, October 20, 2025. This year, the Town will be using a Permanent Elector Register, which uses the Register of Electors from the province.
Why Register Early?
If you are not registered by the deadline, you will need to fill out a form and complete a declaration at the polling station before you can vote, which will take extra time.
Registering early saves time on election day and ensures your information is up to date.

Alberta Municipal Elections
As of May 2024, as required by Alberta provincial legislation, registration information shared with Elections Alberta will also be shared with municipalities for municipal elections.
Alberta municipalities are responsible for creating a Permanent Elector Register and receive the Register of Electors from Elections Alberta for this purpose. Municipalities are responsible for creating a List of Electors to be used in municipal elections.
Ensuring your voter registration information is up-to-date and accurate for provincial election events will also ensure accurate information is provided to municipalities to use when creating their Permanent Elector Registers.
