Garbage Holidays are statutory holidays where there is no regular Garbage Pickup and everyone's garbage is collected a day late after the holiday. Please see cardston.ca/garbage for the pickup schedule.
Garbage Holidays for 2022:
- July 1st - Canada Day
- August 1st - Heritage Day
- September 5th - Labour Day
- September 30th - Truth and Reconciliation Day (Friday Holiday: affects businesses only)
- October 10th - Thanksgiving
- November 11th - Remembrance Day (Friday Holiday: affects businesses only)
NOTE: There will be NO interruption to the pickup schedule this Christmas. Christmas is on a Sunday and Boxing Day is not treated as a Garbage Holiday. Put your garbage out on your normal pickup day this Christmas.
