Golf Course – Mechanic

Duties

  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on golf carts and golf course equipment, ensuring they are safe, functional and aesthetically pleasing.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with golf carts and equipment, identifying the root cause and implementing appropriate solutions.
  3. Conduct regular, thorough inspections of golf carts and equipment to identify any existing or potential problems.
  4. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, including identifying parts and supplies needed for repairs.
  5. Coordinate with management and staff to schedule maintenance and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to our customers.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working order.
  7. Conduct adequate safety inspections of grounds and equipment.
  8. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe work environment.
  9. Assist with irrigation or ground work when assigned.
  10. Contain costs by utilizing warranties and evaluate service and parts options.
  11. Assist in training employees on vehicle and equipment operation
  12. Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock and requisitioning parts needed for repairs while staying within the set budgets.

Qualifications

  1. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of golf cart and equipment maintenance and repair techniques is required.
  2. Previous experience working as a Golf Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
  3. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
  5. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  6. Must be physically able to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
  7. Must be an honest, accountable, team playing individual who receives direction well.
  8. Grooming and dress standards will be required of the successful applicant
  9. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Hours

1 Position – (40-44) hours per week
