Town of Cardston Policies
Below is a comprehensive list of policies designed to guide decisions by the Town of Cardston Council and Administration. Policies are different than bylaws in that while a law can compel or prohibit behaviours, policies give outlines for action, rules of compliance, and guidelines for achievement. Council Policies are approved by Council by resolution, and provide guidance for Council matters, as well as some administrative matters of a sensitive nature. Administrative policies are approved by the CAO, and are direction to staff regarding operational matters and internal administration.
