The Sewer Mainline Extension project is going to be starting up as of Monday, April 15, 2013. Town crews will be digging up portions of 4th Avenue W., which will impede access to the Lions Park, Pool, and Nature Trail from Monday, April 15, 2013 to Wednesday May 1, 2013.

Due to the consistency of the soil near the nature trail, there is a possibility that the project may render the path inaccessible or unusable for longer than the duration of the project. If that is the case we will provide more information as it becomes available to the Town Office.

We look forward to being able to offer better services to our citizens through this Sewer Mainline Extension project.

The Town of Cardston is putting out a call for volunteers to fill positions on the Communities in Bloom Committee and to help with the committee’s projects. The committee meets monthly from March to October and is responsible for coordinating Cardston’s beautification projects. The committee is looking for new members who have ideas on how to beautify the Town and who want to participate in making those ideas a reality.

The Communities in Bloom Committee coordinates projects to improve the Town in the areas of tidiness, environmental awareness, heritage conservation, urban forestry, landscaping, and floral displays. The committee is also interested in pursuing ideas in the areas of recycling and environmental initiatives, town decoration, and resource conservation. The committee is gearing up to participate in a provincially judged competition between communities in 2014 making this call for volunteers of particular importance.

The Town is looking for individuals with a ‘green thumb’ to help with some small floral projects. Individuals wanting to volunteer for the committee positions or to help with the committee’s projects may contact:
